Pretty cool way to get rid of pedals and cords.

Pretty cool. The best 500 bucks I ever spent on something for my guitar was the POD HD 500... I'm not really an acoustic player, but still very cool.

I'm a lazy ass now that I'm older. Though the effects pedals are very cool, I much prefer to just pick it up and play and not get involved with cords and pedals.

With the POD HD you really only need the one unit. It has an amp simulator too, which is awesome if you like vintage amp tones and stuff like me.

Truthfully, I haven't been playing much lately other than helping a friend make an album that's really not my thing anyway.

Have you seen the PODs? If you play electric at all, it's the way to go. Multi-effects processors have come a long way, same with amp simulation.

Yeah my wife's cousin has a nice set up with a POD and I have played on it. I'm not sure of the exact model, but I love it. I grab my acoustic and strum when I'm home. The only time outside of that is at family parties - wifey has a lot of musical cousins and I just use what they have set up. I'm sure if I had a music room I'd be more inclined to get out of hand and buy things and set them up. :)

I used to own the POD 2.0.
These days you can score one really cheap in ebay.
I paid a lot of money for mine back in 2002.

My brand of metal is way heavy and fast for acoustic.
VTA's seen my act....and that tv show was in 1989.

That's really cool. I have been playing my Ibanez Acoustic through a micro cube by Roland on the acoustic setting. This device looks simpler. By the way, I have a Strat Plus with lace sensor pickups. I never see them in music stores. Does any know why they were discontinued?

You don't see many guitars with those lace pick ups any more. They still make the Strats though.
