Tony Romo's rib: Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo will play one week after suffering a fractured rib and punctured lung. The lung has healed, but the rib remains painful. He will wear a protective vest, but the question is how much punishment he can take from Redskins players, who have openly stated they will target his injury.

Grounded run game: The Cowboys need to take some pressure off Romo by running the ball. But the problem is they have not run well all season, averaging 54.5 rushing yards per game to rank 31st in the league. It doesn't help that running back Felix Jones is nursing a dislocated shoulder.

Strength vs. strength: The key to the Redskins' success is a renewed commitment to the running game under Mike Shanahan. They are averaging 123 yards per game behind Tim Hightower and Roy Helu. The Cowboys' defense ranks second in the league against the run, giving up 54 yards per game.

Witten and more Witten: Receiver Miles Austin is out with a hamstring strain, and Dez Bryant is battling a thigh bruise, so look for Romo to go to tight end Jason Witten even more. Witten is averaging roughly six catches a game and could be in double digits tonight, despite battling bruised ribs

Ware sack totals: Linebacker DeMarcus Ware has four sacks in two games and is on pace for 32. Ware, who has four sacks in two career games against quarterback Rex Grossman, could be a big factor again tonight.
