Felix Jones returns; guards miss practice

November, 16, 2011
By Tim MacMahon

IRVING, Texas – Running back Felix Jones returned to practice, but the Cowboys were missing both of their starting offensive guards.

Right guard Kyle Kosier participated in pre-practice drills with the offensive line, but he was not dressed out and went into the locker room before practice. He has sat out Wednesday practices recently to rest his left foot, which has a torn plantar fascia, but has not missed any games.

Left guard Montrae Holland sat out because he is sick. Derrick Dockery, a longtime starter for the Redskins until last season, filled in for Holland.

Jones is practicing for the first time since suffering a high ankle sprain on Oct. 16.

Inside linebacker Sean Lee, who has a dislocated left wrist, wore a less restrictive cast than the one he played with last week. He had use of his fingers with the cast he wore during Wednesday's practice.

Receiver Miles Austin and cornerback Mike Jenkins didn’t practice due to hamstring injuries. Jenkins could return for the Thanksgiving game against the Dolphins. Austin is expected to be out until at least the Dec. 4 trip to Arizona.

Be ggreat to have him back on a week where we have two games in 4 days. That is a lot to put on a roookie in Murray. It would suck to burn him out.
