Who is happy? It's ok to be happy about another win. It's ok to be happy about the playoffs. The first goal for a team is to make the playoffs. The bye teams don't always win in the NFL. You have to beat other good teams. This Cowboys team is a good team and can beat anyone. I am very happy the Cowboys are in this position. If they go lay an egg next week, then I get to be pissed. Until then, let's talk about what it will take to beat the crap out of the Lions!

I am happy there is no bye week, and happy all is acceptable on the injury front. Getting through the 16 game schedule relatively healthy is a big plus.

But let's not delude ourselves - this by and large and at its core is still the 8-8 team of years past. They're just having things go their way at the right time this year, for a change. Let's hope it continues.

Defense is my only real worry, although we should be able to do enough to slow down Detroit and beat them. After that GB and potentially Seattle would both be tough matchups for us.

1 win seems realistic. 2 or 3 would be an amazing accomplishment.

If we can continue to limit its exposure with a good offensive conversion percentage on 3rd down, we can go far.

I'm more worried about playing at home than I am about the defense or Detroit.

The defense is coming on at the right time. Reminds me so much of that Colts defense that came on around week 14 when Manning won his Super Bowl. That defense was shit, but strung together some decent games and did just enough in the playoffs.

Doomsday has a foggy head. This team is better coached first of all, no matter the reasons why. The defense is a way better squad than last year by a mile. I wish it was better though. Nonetheless it's not an 8-8 team and not even close so let's not "delude" the work the team did to improve to reach 12-4.

Eh. Last years team was nowhere near as good as this one, in any area except maybe the return game. Harris wasn't as good there this yr as last.

Otherwise, every area of this team is a lot better than last yr, and that's why this years team was 12-4

As bad as they appeared to be, they were only a few breaks here and there, a few plays here and there, from winning at least three more games if not four.

That's the NFL.

This team isn't all that much better than last year. Might be a little better. But not alot. That's the NFL too.

And that's helped translate to more wins than the past three seasons

Sure there's some degree of luck (especially early) but the run they've had in December is because they ARE a better team, not because they got a few breaks with bounces here or there.

They're virtually injury free. That's a break.

Breaks does not a better team necessarily make. At its core, this is still the same team. It was never as bad as people thought, and never as good.
