Wade Phillips cautioned reporters that Felix Jones' 22 carries -- a 7.3-average through the first three games -- will increase. His workload, like every skill player's, is contigent upon game circumstances. But the Cowboys want the ball in his hands.

Jerry Jones echoed that sentiment Tuesday on his weekly radio show (105.3 FM).

“Everyone is in unanimous agreement with the staff, scouts, everybody involved that Felix needs to touch the ball more," Jones said. "He’s just too much of a threat and that was our intention in preseason coming out, no matter whether he’s certainly getting a chance in the running game but the passing game as well.

"I really look for you to see a lot more of Felix Jones."

As I mentioned Monday, Jones averaged 6.7 carries in his first 10 games last year, but his average increased to 13.2 over his final six games, including playoffs.

A big factor is the Cowboys just haven't run it a lot in general compared to the rest of the league; their 23.0-carry average is tied with Washington for the seventh-fewest.

Have they bothered to tell Garrett? He sure seems reluctant to call Felix's number...

I think he's so stuck on the pass because of our offensive line he doesn't have faith in the run game all the time.

We should run more screens to him.

I don't trust the blocking to think we can feed him the football in the run game. But there's no reason why we can't give him 4 or 5 catches a game.

I wish they would just pick one guy and stick with him like the rest of the league, IMO if you got 3 running backs then you really dont have one. I know they are all good but there are to many people that need the ball for anyone person to start excelling.

Kinda hard to rush for a hundred yards with only 10 touches a game?

You're right they need between 18-25 carries per game, and with one back.

The problem is our offensive line can't handle it.

I think the O-line can handle it. I still think they are one of the biggest O-lines in the NFL. they can still wear down DE's and DT's. Dallas just has to quit abandoning the run so quickly.

But, more importantly. Choose a RB and run the fucker to the ground. Enough of this by committee shit. I have always hated that.

Gee. ??? Wonder who brought that stupid ass style to life in Dallas?

ANOTHER FUCK YOU TO YOU PARCELLS>
