Not that this is all that much of a ringing endorsement or a very bold prediction, but asked which team to miss the playoffs entirely in 2011 has the best shot to win the Super Bowl in 2012, one ESPN analyst picked your Dallas Cowboys.
Tim Hasselbeck was that analyst, and he, like many of the Cowboys’ players, believes that a full offseason could be key in the team improving on an uninspiring performance in 2011.
"Lot of talent on that football team," Hasselbeck said, per ESPN Dallas. "Miles Austin not injured. Defense, another year with Rob Ryan. I think the Cowboys could be that team. ... Dallas Cowboys. Tony Romo. They have the best shot."
To balance things out, the other analyst (and former Philadelphia Eagle), Herm Edwards, selected the Philadelphia Eagles as the non-playoff team with the best shot to win in 2012.
