While Bob Sanders has not announced a visit to the Dallas Cowboys yet, that may be his wisest destination. Bill Barnwell of Football Outsiders explains that Sanders needs the Cowboys' medical staff as much as the Cowboys need a safety.

"[Sanders] needs an organization that's exhibited a history of turning injury-prone players into contributors, and there's one that fits the criteria and could definitely use a safety: the Dallas Cowboys," Barnwell writes. "The Cowboys turned around the career of offensive lineman Marc Colombo after he flopped with the Bears because of injury, and with starting safeties Alan Ball and Gerald Sensabaugh hitting free agency, Dallas could opt to take a chance on their medical staff being able to keep Sanders in one piece. The upside is enormous and the gamble is certainly worthwhile."

If he comes cheap enough, couldn't see why not.

Hes a playmaker when healthy...

If the only alternative is the schlubs we have, I'd take the chance on Sanders. Even if he plays a month, that's 4 games with better safety play than what we can expect from the current cast.

We now have Mike Woicik. Maybe he knows something Indy's training staff doesn't. Why not though? The safety class this year is absolutely turrible. It's him or Huff. Don't want to pay a lot to sign Otogwe whose biggest forte is forcing fumbles.

Bob Sanders is the biggest waste of hype I've ever witnessed.

If you go into a season counting on him, you're almost as dumb as the gang that counted on Alan Ball.

Perfect fit. Sign him up.

If he was willing to sign an incentive laden contract for the vet min, then go for it.

But odds are he'll break his wrist signing the contract.

They'd have to have an awful solid backup plan for me to like the signing.

I would trot out Bob Sanders with 2 broken legs before I give Alan Ball anymore snaps at safety.

Nick Eatman says to bring him in, so...yes.

I might be inclined to give him a look, but we damn well better have a Plan B. And I ain't talking Alan Fricking Ball.

Thats all he's gonna get regardless of where he plays...

I've said before that I think it would be a smart gamble by us. I sure as shit don't see what it would hurt... its not like we have better options.

I don't think the Redskins or even the Raiders would be that stupid.

If some team wanted him that bad he woulda been signed immediately after getting cut from Indy.

Sanders is at that point where he's gonna have to sign a one year deal or an incentive laden contract.
