ESPN Dallas: Injury update: Dez Bryant has stress fracture in ribs

Cowboys rookie wide receiver Dez Bryant played in Sunday's game against the Houston Texans with a stress fracture in his ribs.

Bryant received some extra padding under his jersey to protect the area that's bothering him. Team officials say Bryant came out of the game fine. Bryant finished with four catches for 50 yards.

Tight end Jason Witten (MCL sprain) and left guard Kyle Kosier (tweaked MCL) should be limited this week in the two full practices this week with knee issues.

As an aside . . . Dez Bryant, through 3 games, has 14 receptions.

He's only 1,535 receptions away from breaking Jerry Rices record.

That sucks though, because it will bother him at times during the course of the year.
