Eagles signed LeSean McCoy to a five-year, $45 million extension, including $20.765 million guaranteed.
The Eagles continue to succeed at locking up young talent, this time thanks in large part to the Asante Samuel trade. McCoy fell just shy of Arian Foster, who landed $22.5 million in his five-year deal. With one year left on his rookie contract, McCoy is now locked up through the 2017 season as the feature back in Andy Reid's offense. Yet to turn 24 years old, McCoy is vying with Calvin Johnson and Aaron Rodgers as the most valuable Dynasty league assets. A worthy successor to Brian Westbrook, McCoy has averaged 1,648 scrimmage yards and 14.5 touchdowns per in two seasons as a starter. Ray Rice, Matt Forte, and Maurice Jones-Drew remain frustrated bystanders.
