I'm as big a Bray fan as there is. But I vote no at 18 because not only are their bigger needs, but fans are stupid. They wouldn't recognize that Bray needs some time to develop. As soon as Romo through 2+ int's in a game, they'd be calling for his head and for Bray to start.

The distractions it would cause would be too much to overcome.

Besides, might as well wait until Lovie Smith is coaching next year and let him pick out his own QB.

If Bray were available at 18, would he be better than most other QB prospects we'd reasonably have a shot at next year?

Bray has all the physical tools. The only question with him is maturity. I don't know what the QB class looks like next year, but yeah, I probably think he would be better than any prospect available to us next year, barring a horriifc year where we pick really high.

If he's legit I'd love it.

I'm sure no Packers fans are bemoaning the drama they had to deal with until Rodgers took over.

There wasn't any drama when they took Rodgers. Favruh was a god in Green Bay. Plus, they were winning the division on the regular, and winning playoff games. Exact opposite of what we're doing with Romo.

It would just create too much of a firestorm if he was taken in the first.

So you subscribe to whomever we have in place has to be washed up (or, there is nobody in place) before we target QB with a high pick again?

Have way too many holes to fill to do this. We need to spend premium picks on OL, DL, S, etc. If a steal can be had in the 3rd or 4th, then I'm open to taking a QB to develop. Not in the 1st.

I dont think we have the luxury to spend a first rounder on a guy who will spend the next two+ years on the bench.

I would. He'd be taken a few spots behind where Jay Cutler went and that is his NFL comparison.

You guys act like a rookie or 2 is the difference between being a playoff team or not. We are a long ways off from that.

He's a guy who will rise come workouts. He had shat coaching at TN.

He and Tyler Wilson will vie to be the best QBs' from this class three years from now.

Decision making is the most important attribute in a QB..it's a position that's played above the shoulders.

Dude has a million dollar rocket launcher arm and a 5 cent head..

No thanks

After what scouts witnessed at the Senior Bowl. Such as Tyler Wilsons' ducks, I think its going to be Geno, 1; Bray, 2.
