Discuss your ideal 1st and 2nd round for us. Do whatever (trade up for a guy you gotta have, trade down and get more picks etc etc) but tell why that is your best case scenario. Then describe what you think would be a throw the remote at the TV scenario and why.

Draft is 39 days away.

Best case scenario - Manziel, Teddy, Donald, or Lewan

Worst case - none of the above and can't trade down

Worst case - Jernigan, Donald and both safeties are off the board
Best case - all the guys above are still there

Ideal situation for me is Barr slipping to 16 and then a quality DT slips to 47. No trade up's since we can't afford to lose picks and no trade down's since Jerry will get beat in the trade.

Worst case scenario is all our guys go, the QB's slip, and no one wants to move up to 16 to get them.

Best case would be a stud dt like Donald round one a solid trench player
like a guard, ot, or de in round two.

Worst case is we try and be sexy. Just going for te or wr.

Nothing would make me throw my remote. Just shake my head in disgust. But I'm used to that with this team.

Best case - Manziel

Worst case - another god damned tight end in the second round

I think Manziel and Bridgewater are both busts waiting to happen, so I'd be disappointed if we took either of those guys. The only QB I'd take in the first round is Bortles, and he isn't getting anywhere near our pick.

Would love Barr or Donald but am reasonably sure neither will be. If that's the case I hope one (and only one) of the QB's is left of the 4 people think are going first round, and some QB desperate team makes us a tremendous trade down deal.

Seems like every year we talk of hoping for a qb to drop and a team trading up with us for him.

I am 50/50 on Donald being there. If he isn't, then another good player fell to us. Hopefully a front seven guy or an OT.

That birddog guy on twitter hinted towards not being surprised if TE or CB in rd one because of the talent likely to be available but honesty that would suck cock.

Yeah, that's about a 1 in 1 trillion chance of happening. I could see a TE drafted in the later rounds (especially a good blocking TE) but there's no way in hell they are taking one in the first round. Also highly doubtful they'd use a 1st on a CB unless they are 1) either releasing Carr or 2) trading Claiborne. I don't see either of those as very likely.

Burnett was a good player. Fasano and Marty B were not awful players, both were ok in the roles they played and both ahve done ok since they left Dallas in systems where they were the #1 TE's. Sean Lee is great when he is on the field. Carter has been too up and down. Its way too early to say anything about Escobar, but my opinion is the staff grossly miused him last year.

The only really bad pick was Jacob Rogers, who nobody in the organization wanted other than Parcells.

I have a strong feeling that Donald goes ahead of #16 and it sends Jones into a trade down panic. Max Unger revisited.

Impossible.

Will McClay/Jason Garrett/Charlotte is clearly in charge and will have contingencies in place. They will anticipate every move.

The panic trade down moves where the Cowboys get beat in the trade (Unger and again last year) were just flukes,,,errrrr I mean designed maneuvers.

Yep, really fucking stupid too.

I suspect that's part of the reason Callahan got stripped of the playcalling, although Garrett has to be at fault as well.

Callahan was never actually calling plays.

Jason trumped him, per Jerry.
