Pretty interesting, I'd like to know where he ranked as a pass blocker too:

Profootballfocus.com has released their season ending grades, and low and behold, Doug Free graded out as the best run blocking tackle in the NFL. A fourth round pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, Free worked diligently to move up the depth chart

Cue up bumbling idiots who say Free sux in 3...2...1....

He didn't play as well as I expected.

But I'm not going to get discouraged because I think we'd see marked improvement once we get the rest of the line taken care of.

I can only assume you made it up at this point considering the substantial lack of source information.

ProFootball Focus seems to do a thorough job with their evaluations, most of the stuff I've seen from them is based on real data and some pretty good film review. Doesnt seem like they are just throwing out random opinions.

I dont know anything about the people who run it, but it does seem like they do their homework.

He doesn't pass the eyeball test, but as someone mentioned above, I think he'll improve when he has more competent players surrounding him.

It's funny though that we replaced Flozell at LT with his exact replica, other than the fact that he's White. Flozell always ranked among the league leaders in run blocking at the LT position, and Free even keeps up his penchant for racking up flags.
