Seeing our offensive line is worse off than our corners, I'd re-sign Free.

I just don't want us to over pay for him. Nnamdi is going to cost too much money and we are already in cap hell.

Exactly. BTW, Miles Austin owned Nnamdi when they played against one another to the tune of 7rec for 140+ yards...

umm. first off. No one knows the parameters of the new cap yet. Add to that no one knows exactly for certain what can be done with existing contracts it is wrong to say you cant have both. I am of the belief they knew exactly what they were doing when they structured those contracts with the cba ending.

having said that I dont think we sign namdi either way. I dont think there is any way we dont sign free. We didnt develop him for 4 years to lose him in his prime with a team sitting on about a 3 year window with this current core group.

Give me Free.

He's younger, will be cheaper, and a very good tackle has more of an impact on a team than a great corner.

Romo is owed $30 million over the next three years in addition to having more than $6 million in bonus money that still has to count toward the cap. We have other contracts, such as Roy, Newman, and Davis, that we owe a lot of money to over a very short period. If we restructure these deals in 2011 it will inflate our 2012 and 2013 cap numbers to unworkable numbers. You can believe what you want, but the facts do not support your beliefs.

I'm not worried about the cap either. I am worried about being able to sign players we need in free agency.

well that is what I meant. I dont have a concern that this team will not be able to sign what they feel they need.

I do have concerns that they will do something foolish like give a boatload of money to someone like michael huff however...that concerns me greatly. that would be a huge mistake.

You likely shouldn't worry about that, I doubt they will have the money to throw away on a player like that. We still have a lot of holes that need to be filled through free agency.

Well personally I think the only holes are safety and I think that is the only place outside players are going to come from unless another veteran lb or corner that has worked with ryan is brought in.

I dont think we will have any problems creating the space and then resigning Free, Kosier and Bowen.

Then the issue will be free agents at defensive line or safety. And i am very worried they make a big mistake and pay huff way more than he is worth and he is nothing but an average player for us and constant headache off of it.

Did anyone see the Top 100 when they listed Nnamdi? They said he was targeted like 700 times and only 13 passes were completed ?? Is that real? Maybe it was 400 times, I'm drugged up these days.

If true, that is an amazing stat but I'm pretty sure sbk will say is meaningless.

It is probably 400 plays and 13 completions. He gets targeted about 30 times a season with only 13 completions against him. It helps that he only plays on the left instead of always covering the #1 WR like Revis does. Revis is targeted nearly 4 times as often but has a much better success rate. Would Nnamdi be just as dominant if he played the #1 WR instead of sticking to one side of the field? We'll see what happens with his next team.
