Sources say the Cowboys are in the final stages of negotiations with Brandon Carr and that a contract could be in place by the end of the day.
Carr is the team' primary free agent target. He flew in yesterday afternoon and visited with club officials at Cowboys Stadium. Negotiations began immediately and have continued into this afternoon. The two sides are believed to be discussing a five-year deal for Carr to replace Terence Newman in the Cowboys secondary.
