Kick returner-cornerback Bryan McCann showed promise in his debut.
``I give myself a C -- I feel like I was average,'' McCann said. ``I went out there and did my job. I don't feel like I did anything more than my job.''
Against Green Bay, McCann used his speed to elude the first wave on two returns but cut into, instead of around, defenders while trying to break.
``There were opportunities where if I would have taken a different step here or made a different read, I could have taken them,'' McCann said. ``It's just a matter of making those plays instead of saying, `oh, I almost had it' because `almost' gets you a loss.''
