I'm starting to warm up to the idea of taking this guy. He's a mauling run blocker, and a day one immediate upgrade at RT.

Would anyone hate this selection at 18?

So you want us to turn into a power rushing team? If he were Cordy Glenn, sure, but he's not.

I'd actually love it if we had a power run game.

But we'd never become a power running team. Not with Garrett as head coach and Romo as QB.

Could you imagine how deadly Romo would be with a run threat and an offensive line?

He'd break records. Not just team records, NFL records.

Fluker has some size to him. Would you think the Cowboys could move back some spots and still land him, while picking up an extra 2nd or 3rd, maybe?

It's a shame we released Sam Young. He went up against Chris Long and at times Bruce Irvin during weeks 15 and 16, and gave up 3 pressures and 0 sacks according to PFF.

Could have had a nice battle between him and Parnell to replace Free.

That was my initial thought. Trade back a few spots if possible. But that is rarely a possibility for Dallas. They tend to trade up more than trade down.

I don't think at 18 Fluker would be the best player on our board.

I don't know about that. To my recollection it's been about equal.

Still would want Warmack over Fluker if he is there at 18.

FA Sebastian Vollmer - RT

Instant upgrades but both are most likely pipe dreams.

Fluker is a good player and would definitely provide an upgrade to our OL. Not sure I'd take him at 18 though, might have to trade down into mid 20's or so to get me more interested.

Dallas does trade down, but rarely a few spots in the 1st round. Not since Roy Williams.

Ahhh.. the Roy Williams trade. Netted us Roy WIlliams and Derek Ross. Looked to be two cornerstones of our secondary for years to come.

lol

I doubt there is going to be a prospect there at 18 that some team at 22 is gonna be like, "WE HAVE TO TRADE UP TO 18!".

I think this entire thread is predicated upon Warmack being gone by time 18 rolls around.

Yeah, its never happened before.

It wouldnt be like 1990, when Jimmy went from 21 to 17 to get some RB from Florida
