The Pittsburgh Steelers and Dick LeBeau have parted ways, the longtime defensive coordinator told the Urbana Daily Citizen on Saturday.

Leabeau, 77, was in charge of the Steelers' defense the past 11 years, a run that included a pair of Super Bowl championships.

If Rod leaves, I'd back a dump truck full of money up to this guys door.

Todd Bowles is clearly going somewhere. I think LeBeau comes to Arizona.

LeBeau is a 3-4 guru. I wouldn't hate the hire but it means a transition. Demarcus Lawrence and Kyle Wilber are the only guys (under contract) I see with the possible ability to play 3-4 OLB.

He can and has coached the 4-3, he could do so again and might even have some fresh ideas for it. He is more of a blitz guru, having invented the "zone blitz" so prevalent today.

Players really play hard for him, they will eat nails and shit I-beams for him.

CMD is right, Arizona with Arians makes sense. If Fangio gets the SF job LeBeau might be a DC candidate there too

Stunned this happened. Thought LeBeau would retire there..

Zona is the likely spot with the Arians connection but let's just pray he doesn't end up in Washington or New York.

I bet you're right. Someone will hire Bowles for hc and Lebeau will fit there perfectly.
