Dez Bryant missed his third straight day of practice with a right ankle injury and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game.

Bryant aggravated the high ankle sprain that bothered him for most of training camp and kept him out of the five preseason games in Sunday's loss against Tennessee. While he was able to return to the game, he was not able to take part in the practices this week.

Wade Phillips said Bryant could play despite not practicing because he has been involved in the team's morning walkthroughs. If Bryant can play, he could see his punt return duties taken away with either rookie Akwasi Owusu-Ansah or Terence Newman handling the job.

Offensively, Sam Hurd would move into the No. 3 receiver role in Bryant's absence and Kevin Ogletree could also play a role if Bryant does not play.

Center Andre Gurode was limited in Friday's practice but is listed as probable. Gurode said he "wanted to keep everybody guessing," on his playing status but admitted he felt better Friday. It is possible the Cowboys activate Phil Costa for the game if Gurode has a setback.

Safety Alan Ball (shoulder), tight end Martellus Bennett (ankle), linebacker Bradie James (knee) and defensive end Igor Olshansky (knee) took part in their first full practices on Friday and are listed as probable. Fullback Chris Gronkowski (groin) is also probable.
