Dez Bryant: Cowboys have nothing to worry about

7/13/2011 2:15:00 PM

Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant countered critical statements by Deion Sanders, saying Wednesday that he's ready to move on from any negative perceptions that exist about him according to ESPNDallas.com.

Sanders, a former mentor to Bryant, told Atlanta's WCNN on Tuesday that the Cowboys are more concerned than he is about the young player. But the 22-year-old receiver told 103.3 FM's "Ben and Skin Show" that there is no reason to worry.

"All I know is everybody's entitled to their own opinion," Bryant said. "In my eyes, I feel like the Cowboys have nothing to worry about. I'm getting everything done like I'm supposed to do. I'm ready to go out and play football and do what I do best."

Bryant congratulated Sanders for his upcoming induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and insisted that he's not caught up in any differences between himself and the former NFL cornerback.

"My focus is on the Cowboys," Bryant said. "Whatever is said about that situation that can be said, I'm done with it, I'm just ready to move on."

I'm glad Dez said all this, but I really think I need to hear more from Deion about what he thinks about the situation.

I'm glad Dez said all this, but I really think I need to hear more from Deion about what he thinks about the situation.
Some people are missing the real issue I think. Deion many be right about some things he says about Dez (immaturity wise) but, the 'REAL' reasons Deion keeps on saying what he's saying is 1) Dez burned him on the Under Armor deal (who sponsers Prime's football camp) 2) The NCAA investion over the dinner Bryant lied about having with Sanders. (that almost put the kibosh on any NCAA/NFL hopefuls even wanting to work with Sanders in his camps, or other events (fearing it could end with some sort of NCAA violation.) To put it bluntly it's personal for Sanders. Dez messed with Dieon's money and Deion is going to slam Dez in the media any chance he gets. It's sad really. (AND) If it's not personal why does he keep talking about Dez unprovoked? I mean, hasn't he already said these things before? Why keep going on and on about Dez? Because HE'S BITTER!

I loved Deion the player but, hearing him talk is nauseating. "I love him, I pray for him" (but, I just can't seem to stop throwing him under the bus either.) What a bunch of horse she-ite!

Dear Deion, leave it alone. We know how you feel. If someone in the media asks you about Dez just say that you think you've said everything you need to say about him already or no comment and move on. At least act like you got better things to talk about (even if you don't).

I have no opinion on this Deion/Dez situation. Because I don't know what went down.

I do find it a little odd that Dez is the only guy I know of in the league that Deion will not associate with anymore. Bryant's an up and coming young star. Sanders usually would latch on to him for all he's worth.

As Clutch88 pointed out Deion has been and always will be about the money.

He's has it in for Dez now, noquestion about it....There's nothing Dez can do about it but take the high road and stay away from trouble.

In time it will become obvious to others what Deion motives really are.

I see. So Deion's in the wrong here. And you know this because you're aware of exactly what went down.

Or...Bryant plays for the Cowboys.

It's one of those two reasons.

Deion is angry because he feels Dez threw him under the bus during the NCAA investigation, and because Dez dropped Under Armour.

Props to Dez.

I won't pretend to know. I'll let others do that.

I've heard two stories. One that Deion didn't like Dez dropping Under Armour. If so, F Deion.

I also have heard Dez no showed at a charity event Deion held for kids. If so, F Dez.

Never heard the charity story. If so, then yeah, that sucks.

But still, Deion is a cancer. I literally see no benefit he provides to young players.

And the fact that Dez is moving on and not commenting, while Deion can't stop talking about Dez is telling.
