DeAngelo Hall: “I told the ref he’s going to [bleeping] lose his job”

Late in the fourth quarter of Monday night’s game, Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall gave up a 30-yard completion to Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant, then got called for facemasking on the tackle, giving Dallas 45 yards to set up a game-winning field goal. Hall was angry afterward, but not at himself.

Instead, Hall was angry at both the official who made the call, and the Redskins’ coaching staff for leaving him one-on-one with Bryant.

“That was a [bleeping] terrible call,” Hall said, via CSNWashington.com. “I told the ref he’s going to [bleeping] lose his job. I told the ref, ‘That might have been the worst call of the game.’ He’s going to get some demerit points for that call because that wasn’t no facemask.”

Hall also complained that the Redskins called a blitz on the third-and-21 play, leaving him alone with Bryant, and that the blitz didn’t work.

“You ain’t supposed to have to [cover for that long], but [expletive] happens,” Hall said.

When it was pointed out to Hall that the Redskins had blitzed successfully earlier in the game, he didn’t want to hear it.

“Yeah, but sooner or later, somebody is going [bleeping] figure it out,” Hall said. “You don’t have to be a [bleeping] rocket scientist to figure it out after awhile.”

Asked if Redskins defensive coordinator Jim Haslett made the wrong call on the play, Hall said, “You tell me. The result was a first down.”

And the result was the Redskins’ first loss of the season.

Ed hiochuli's crew is always bad, but at night they were terrible.

They missed two blatant holdings on ware, they missed two obvious false starts by brown, new mans pick they immediately called incomplete, witten hit way late out of bounds and then of course the skins were faking the cadence which is a penalty and Garrett and the team said they did it all night........sounds like Stephen Bowen helped them with that, hope he enjoys his money.....

Oh and the defenseless wr call on ball, but Dallas didn't get the same call earlier on Robinson...

Hochuli was terrible along with his crew.....but we beat em all.

The worst call was that personal foul called on Ball.

That, and the no call on Williams for holding Ware on that third and 17 at the near end of the game. The throw was incompletion, so it wasn't that big of a deal... but still. How do you not call that?

Denying that you stole the cookies, when there's crumbs all over your shirt and your hand is still in the cookie jar. Hall is right about the refs in that they should lose their jobs, but not for the reasons he put forth. That was clearly a facemask.

Maybe it wasn't.... on second thought, Hall may have a point. Dez's facemask was coming off and Hallw as just merely putting it back on. The photo clearly shows that.

Aww, DeAngie got burnt by Dez one on one.

He's one of the most overrated corners in the league, and Dez proved it.

The refs were bad, but we scored 6 times last night. They didn't keep us out of the endzone or help Washington get there. The calls were bad but that is because the refs and the new rules suck.
