Kinda under the radar but could be an interesting pick for us if we didnt go DL in round one. Might still be available at 45.

Draft Focus: Crick Could Be Solid 3-4 Fit

Crick had consecutive seasons of 9.5 sacks as both a sophomore and junior.
Name: Jared Crick
Position: Defensive End
College: Nebraska
Height/Weight: 6-5/285
Age: 22 (born June 22, 1989)
Honors: Crick was on nearly every All-American team in 2010, and was a first-team All-Big 12 selection as both a sophomore (2009) and junior (2010).
Strengths: Plays with a non-stop motor that is tough to match. When healthy, Crick has proven to be an instinctive, tough player who uses his strength and athletic ability to be dominant at times. He's used to facing double-teams so lining up in a 3-4 scheme wouldn't be a major change for Crick, who played end at Nebraska. While he had 9.5 sacks as a sophomore, playing next to All-American Ndamukong Suh, Crick came right back the next year with another 9.5 sacks once Suh had entered the NFL.
Weaknesses: The big concern with Crick has to be injuries. Here's a guy who could've possibly been a first-round pick had he entered the draft after his junior season. Instead, he returned for what proved to be an injury-filled senior campaign that included a sprained knee, sprained ankle and then a season-ending pectoral injury. Since he's not considered a speed rusher, he'll either be a 3-4 end or a defensive tackle in the 4-3.
Where He's Headed: Any time you've got a talented player who is coming off an injury, it can throw off his draft status in a major way. It seems like Crick is a second-round pick, with an outside shot for the first round. Let's not forget he was expected to be a first-rounder before last year. But regardless of where he might fall, it seems like Crick will be headed to a 3-4 defensive team.
How He Helps the Cowboys: If drafted, Crick would definitely be used a 3-4 defensive end and should give the team another high-motor player. He'll be compared to Sean Lissemore in style, although Crick went to Nebraska and will likely be a first- or second-day pick. But because of the injury last season, Crick will probably have more talent than his draft position. The Cowboys have shown they aren't afraid to go that route, even doing so last year in the second round by taking UNC linebacker Bruce Carter, who was rehabbing an ACL injury. With Jason Hatcher, Marcus Spears and Kenyon Coleman already at the defensive end position, drafting Crick would probably cause the Cowboys to rethink their personnel and possibly cut ties with either Coleman or Spears.
