And they do what losers do, LOSE.
They find ways to lose. They find ways to fuck up. They find ways to grab defeat from the jaws of victory. It's a disease and it was spread from the owner's box to the coaches and all of the players. The whole organization is infected with LOSERitis.
I knew the game was over when we saw what happened before halftime. We were up 10-6 and were at least having a somewhat respectable showing. Turpin got us nice position after a decent kick return. They had 1:23 left, good field position and the absolute best kicker in the league. In the direction they were going, Aubrey had the wind behind him and another 65+ FG was definitely a possibility. They needed maybe 20 yds to get to there and at least TRY the FG. And what does the 240 million QB generate? NOTHING. Not even a single first down. Another 3 and out. I knew what was coming afterward and they didnt disappoint in the 2nd half.
The 3rd quarter was a continuation of what we have seen since January. The team got punched in the face and curled up in the fetal position. They had an interception and two embarrassing 3 and outs, meanwhile the other team went TOUCHDOWN, TOUCHDOWN, TOUCHDOWN.
1) I mentioned it a few weeks ago that I thought maybe Prescott had an arm or shoulder injury, because he is throwing the ball like total shit. I thought maybe coming out of the bye week and with rest he'd at least throw the ball a little better, but he didnt. If anything he actually looked worse. He has no arm strength whatsoever. His mechanics are beyond horrible and he clearly has the classic "happy feet" and "deer in the headlights" look almost every single drop back. He's a lost cause and the worst personnel decision in franchise history. For the 4th straight time against the Niners, he was the worst player on the field. Now that Deshaun Watson is out for the yr, it's quite possible Prescott is the worst starting QB in the league currently. And he MAKES THE MOST MONEY. FUCK YOU JERRY
2) The Niners were missing 4 or 5 starters on defense, and still our offense looked inept for most of the game. Another indictment of just how lousy 4 is at QB. His inaccuracy and lack of arm strength is very obvious for anyone to see. Even in the first half (when at one point he was something like 12/13 or 13/14) was not good, as many of those completions were just great plays by our receivers. He repeatedly threw balls high or behind and in the 2nd half he threw a ton of uncatchable balls. I keep saying it, but this contract is the worst decision in franchise history. We have ZERO chance to ever win anything of note with 4 at QB. FUCK YOU JERRY
3) This team looks painfully slow on the field, especially on defense where they have maybe two guys that have legit speed to move around. The DL cant get off blocks nor can they run anyone down sideline to sideline. Kendricks looked good for a couple games but is always one or two steps behind now. The safeties are the absolute worst in the league against both the pass and the run. Neither of them can run or cover, and both of them tackle like complete pussies There are very few teams in the league where Wilson and Hooker would start, in fact I doubt either of them would even be the first safety off the bench for most teams. I don't understand what this numnutz DC Zimmer sees in either one of them. Juanyeh Thomas and Marquese Bell should be the starters IMO. Both are far better tacklers than Hooker and Wilson and both have significantly more speed and range. All either one of them did was make plays in preseason, and they hardly see the field now. FUCK YOU JERRY
4) Another game, another poor effort by the OL. Like Hooker and Wilson above, I think T Steele is probably the worst at his position in the league. Last yr at least you could point to the late season ACL the prior yr as a reason he was a turnstile, but that isnt an excuse anymore. He is freaking horrible and another painfully bad Jones contract decision. Steele is one of the highest paid T's in the league and is one of the worst at his position. Zack Martin is getting painful to watch as well. He showed up on the injury report before the bye week with a back thing and proceeded to have probably the worst game of his career (at any level) against Detroit. He wasnt much better last night. Mike Solari is the worst OL coach in the league. His blocking scheme is complete shit. FUCK YOU JERRY
5) The postgame meltdown by Diggs is just further proof of how gone this team is. Diggs has never been that kind of player to do what he did after the game, and the fact that after another awful loss the first thing players on this team think to do is look at their Twitter accounts on their cell phones tells you all you need to know about the football mentality of this organization. It's a disgrace. FUCK YOU JERRY
6) For most of the game the officiating was pretty favorable for us. I was pleasantly surprised at some of the calls we got (normally things that are fully ignored) but that certainly changed late in the game. I think the Niners would have scored anyway but the decision to pick up the OPI flag was pretty awful. I also think Brooks was probably interfered with on the last play but it was still a painfully stupid decision by Prescott to throw it there anyway. Dude was double covered. And that was a couple plays after throwing into triple coverage and having an easy int dropped. FUCK YOU JERRY
7) Its hard to find many bright spots with this team right now. Aubrey is obviously one, he's the best in the league and has other-worldly leg strength. Beebe looks like he improves every game to me. Overshown has a ton of upside. Lamb and Ferguson are both really good. Tyler Smith is a legit probowl/all pro caliber player. Luepke is under-utilized IMO and seems like the kind of player a Kyle Shanahan type coach could really take advantage of. Thats about it right now IMO. FUCK YOU JERRY
8) Don't see many wins remaining for this dogshit team this year. Maybe they beat NYG and Carolina. Cinci is really bad but could easily hang 30+ on us if Burrow is on too. I think 5-12 or 6-11 is the best this team can do. FUCK YOU JERRY
I see zero reason for optimism. This team is horrendous in almost every way possible, it's poorly coached in every way possible and their whole attitude towards the game and football itself makes it impossible to really even LIKE them or WANT them to win. I'd rather watch reruns of the 89 Cowboys over and over than this trash, in fact I'd rather watch Campo's lovable no talent losers of 2000-2001-2002 lore. At least they played hard. These guys dont appear to give any real effort and look like they dont even practice most weeks. Jerry has completely ruined this franchise.
