Glad it's over. Entire season has been a complete shitshow and as we all guessed, the minute they re-signed the mediocre QB to that ridiculous contract everything was doomed.

They lost yesterday in a way that us GROZzers have become accustomed to. Defense completely dominates for a half. Team replaces starting QB and backup QB shreds the Zimmer D and leads team to improbable win. There's a reason Zimmer has never gotten a team (as HC or DC) to a Super Bowl, and the one time he got a team to the NFC Championship game they got BLOWN OUT by a team playing their backup QB.

1) I don't really care one way or another if McCarthy is back or not. He's ok. I don't think he'll ever get the team over hump. They consistently have too many penalties or do dumb things in the worst possible times. I think there's a bunch of coaches who would be a significant improvement. So why then do I say I don't care one way or another? Because the odds Jones and Spawn hire one of those many coaches who'd do better is extremely low to maybe zero. It COULD be worse (and has been). Jones has hired a litany of clowns and losers since his ego decided to get in the way of the only good thing he ever did. The odds say if McCarthy goes, that Jones will hire the next Switzer, Gailey, Campo, Wade or Red Headed Boob.

2) Maybe I am in the minority, but I thought Trey Lance looked ok yesterday. He had a couple misfires but he also threw a number of great passes, he avoided the rush when he needed to and made some plays with his legs. He clearly has a far better arm than Prescott or Rush. If anything, yesterday was ironclad proof Lance should have been playing for WEEKS. This is yet another grossly mismanaged situation, courtesy of the biggest buffoon in the league. He probably showed enough yesterday that someone will certainly take a chance on him, and as the boozers have already declared we have no fucking money for next yr. So Lance is probably as good as gone (and maybe he wants that after the ay this was handled)

3) As noted above, Zimmer fucking blows. What a fucking loser job in the 2nd half, allowing a journeymen backup who has hardly played to basically shred your defense for a half and find a way to lose (again). Redskins 2nd half possessions, TD, TD, punt, TD. Backup QB completed all but three passes and had a nearly perfect QB rating.

4) The Cowboys had more first downs (23-18), more total yards (378-269), outrushed the other team 150-113, won the turnover battle, had 6 sacks and won TOP by over FIFTEEN minutes, and LOST the game.

5) 11 more penalties, including what it seemed like 25 false starts. McCarthy has not been able to coach penalties, and especially pre-snap fuckups out of this team for 5 yrs. Every yr they say its a focus, and every yr it's the fucking same.

6) Tyler Guyton started and while some of his blocking wasnt terrible, I think he had three more penalties. He was benched (not sure if due to penalties or just plan) but Asim Richards seemed to play much better. He too though had a couple of fuckup blocks including one that definitely cost us a first down. He had a choice of two guys to block on a Trey Lance run, and for whatever reason decided to block neither. Thought Cooper Beebe and Brock Hoffman both had good games, as did Tyler Smith.

7) I've really liked Jake Ferguson since we drafted him. He had a great year last yr and seemed like a guy on the major upswing for his career. But something wasn't right with him this year. He didnt seem to play with the same attitude and he had a number of bad fuckups. Whether it was drops, fumbles or stupid penalties, he just seemed like he had checked out to me. Yesterday other than the one good catch and run in the middle of the field and a nearly amazing TD catch (that might have been a catch) he was awful. I also saw his coach ripping him a new one and I don't think it was the first time this year. Hopefully he rebounds next yr, and if he doesn't then Schoonmaker might take his job and never look back. Schoon appears to be another vastly under-utilized guy for how he actually performed when he got chances and he had another solid game yesterday.

8) I thought Johnathan Mingo had another good game yesterday and between this week and last week I see some signs of hope with him. He could end up paying some dividends for us in 2025. Jalen Tolbert had some growing pains but overall I thought he had a pretty decent yr (especially considering he played with 3 different starting QB's). The 60 million QB also hurt his yr with several misfires or just flat out missing him when he was wide open (not throwing his way). Flournoy looks like a keeper too and Lamb's a superstar. The WR cupboard is not bare.

9) I hope someone can find the clip of that play where Mariota went for 30+ on 4th and 1. Luifau definitely fucked up at or even slightly behind the LOS, but WTF was Maik Hooker doing on the backend? On the replay he starts going out of the screen, but appears to be raising his finger or fist thinking the play is over when he sees Parsons crush the RB, Hooker doesnt even get back into the play because of his stupidity. Another terrible Jones fucking contract decision.

10) So glad we took away opportunities for Hunter Luepke for that fucking waste of time Zeke. FUCK YOU JONES and FUCK YOU PRESCOTT, the only two people on the earth that wanted this clod here. For that matter, Deuce Vaughn showed yesterday that he'd have likely been far more effective than wasted plays for Zeke as well. jones and these coaches continually fuck the team over with mind numbingly bad personnel decisions and game day roster management.

Will be interesting to see how this coaching thing plays out, but whatever optimism we may could have with a new HC and staff will probably crash and burn because we are tattooed to Prescott for at least another 1-2 seasons, and as noted above there's a better chance than not that Jones will hire another loser anyway.

Glad this flop of a season is over. FUCK YOU JONES and FUCK YOU SPAWN
