Which guy will be our kicker, and in turn kick the game winner in Super Bowl 46?

I love Buehler. I love how he freaks out before he kicks the ball, like he's going to try and kick it into New Mexico. So I'm rooting for him to win the job, he has mystique.

I like Beuhler. I just don't like how he's so inconsistant in the 30-39 range. Those should be borderline gimmies.

Maybe they will be this yr.

People need to remember he was really a rookie placekicker (he had just kicked off for us the yr prior). He hasnt had alot of work yet.

Kickers dont always come into the league and automatically make 85% of their field goals from day one. Some of the best kickers in recent history missed kicks (including gimmees or PATs) early in their careers too.

That said, the Bailey kid is a good kicker. This will be a good competition.

I like Buehler and I'd like to hang on to him for this season for sure. His placekicking game was irritating, but being a Cowboy fan, I'm used to holding my breath even for the gimmes. Been doing it for what seems like decades.

It's the OOB kickoffs that really bothered me last season. Finessing the ball is not his strong suit so hopefully we get away from that this season.

**edit** That said, I'm all for open competition and if this Bailey kid beats him, well then, adios amigo. I ain't sentimental like that.

I want to see a few preseason games before I decide who I want.

I will say this though, I don't have the patience Buehler's erratic kicking so we'll see.

Beeler is done. He was never a FG kicker. Quit with the project and go with the guy who can actually make the FGs. This BS about beeler being a rookie is just an excuse for fanboys and homers. What happens when he has another bad season? More excuses so you can hold on to your beloved?

Bailey nailed all 5 today and is 10/10 in two days...Buehler missed two more today.

I'm leaning towards Bailey. I'll give Buehler until the final preseason game, but after that if he continues to struggle we'll have to let him go.

I'm not hung up on us keeping him, but what happens if we dump him and he goes elsewhere and becomes a perennial probowl PK? You'll be first in line saying how stupid Jones was to give up on a young guy so soon.

I'm all for a real competition this training camp and preseason, he doesnt deserve a free pass. But this idea that he's garbage and there's no hope for him is pretty lame, because history is dotted with examples of kickers who were far from perfect early on and became really quality PK's

Bailey nailed all 5 FG's again today, now 15/15 first 3 days.

Buehler is 11/15

I would feel no more at ease with Buehler kicking than a rookie. Love his attitude and toughness running down covering kicks but he is just as prone to miss a 35 yd FG as a 60 yarder. Sine they moved kickoffs back to the 35 yd line that negated one useful trait as to why he stuck around in the first place.

Give me Bailey. he did it in college and seems to have (thus far) a natural knack for it. Its a long way until the season starts, and I hope the guy who performs the best wins the job, but Beeler better get his shit together. KO Specialist is no longer a need. Between the uprights is where its at.
