So he has all these great clutch 4th quarter stats AND some ppl thinks he sucks a dick in the clutch. Which is it ?

when trailing in do or die situations offenses becomes much more aggressive . The fear of turnovers are mitigated by being pressed against the game clock which will end the game anyway.
Aneconidtoally it seems the cowboys are in more close games than just about everyone. Which explains why hes performed tremendously well in these moments and also has tremendous bloopers. it's really the only two outcomes when you are in comeback mode. I don't think it's even that complicated as people are making it.

I used to want to make fun of Mb4... then I started posting on this site from a smartphone and could totally relate.

You're getting too complicated. He just sucks. In general. All the time. He can't throw the ball anymore. I saw it. Every throw was weaker than before. I have a 1080p HDTV. And a stopwatch.

for a guy with what appears to be diminishing skills..he had a heck of a year...itll interesting to see if he can get back to his old form (recover from injury) or if hes just losing it

I don't think his skills are diminishing. He had a bad back last year. We'll see if they fixed it this time. Look at Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. They're older than him and their skills haven't diminished. You can argue that maybe they have a little for Manning as far as mobility and maybe some arm strength. But the drop off from Romo of 2 years ago and then last year was pretty big and Manning's is nowhere near it from now and 5 years ago.

Honestly, I don't think his skills were really all that diminished. I mean, sure he's got the back thing, and I'm sure he had to compensate a little for that. He looked to be a little less willing to try to pull a Houdini move in the pocket. But I don't think anyone watching the games on TV is going to be able to determine with any level of certainty that he's lost arm strength or what the cause of it is. And I think he had a very good season. Not his best, but it was very good.

When you watch a baseball game on TV, can you tell when a guy is throwing hard or not?

Can you not tell the difference (yes, on TV) between a QB that throws like John Elway and someone that throws like Brad Johnson?

I know you are probably a simpleton and just like to be a contrarian dickhead, but I assume you can tell the difference.

I think he had a decent year, I've said that repeatedly. I do think some people fall in love with fantasy football stat lines though and let it cloud their judgement on when someone has a really good game and when someone has struggled some (ex, did Phillip Rivers have a great game yesterday in your opinion?)

I know this is a forum for assholes but why post this? It ensures no one ever takes your opinions/takes seriously. You can make your point without sounding like a 12-year old.

this whole bad back meme is just fodder for his media fanboys to swoon over his "legendary toughness" and excuse some of his poor performances last year--despite not knowing for certain if his back was hurting him before the Washington game

I'm not one of his media fanboys, but he certainly didn't look the same last year. I'm just putting two and two together.

I think his health in the offseason affected his weight training, but he was relatively healthy all year.

The redskins injury was probably flukey. Something got tweaked on a random ass bad luck play. And he showed giant black man balls by playing clutch football with that Injury

I can tell the difference between a 95-99 mph fastball and a 70-80 mph change up. But if you think you can tell the difference on TV between a 88 mph fastball and a 92 mph fastball, then you're just fucking lying.

Can you not tell the difference (yes, on TV) between a QB that throws like John Elway and someone that throws like Brad Johnson?
If you put a clip together of John Elway (or insert other known strong-armed QB) when he's throwing his hardest and Brad Johnson (or other rag armed QB) when he's throwing his hardest, yes, you will tell a difference.

But you're not going to be able to tell the difference in the same QB's throws from one season to the next under normal circumstances. I'm not talking about outlier throws where the ball flutters or is tipped, or when he's throwing a touch pass... those are the ones the untrained couch potato's eye notices. I'm talking about the QB's typical everyday throw. If you are simply watching the game on TV from one season to the next, there's no way you are going to notice if a QB loses "5 mph on his fastball."

You're looking at the results from week to week and using confirmation bias to back up your "fuck romo" agenda.

I know you are probably a simpleton and just like to be a contrarian dickhead, but I assume you can tell the difference.
Funny. cmd called you "simple jack" yesterday, and you come up with "simpleton" today... Contrarian is a good word, but it's pretty much par for the course on internet forums. People are going to disagree with you. Get over it.

Decent year... "fuck you romo."

and I didn't watch Rivers play yesterday. Sorry. I'm betting he's probably lost 2.3 mph on his fastball though from last year, since he's a year older and all.

You know exactly why I posted it.

As for caring what others think, I think you know my view on that as well.
