With Felix Jones, Marion Barber, and Tashard Choice, the Dallas Cowboys have perhaps the deepest running back depth chart in the NFL. But team owner Jerry Jones says the Cowboys may still be looking at a runner in the later rounds of the draft.
"That is a goal," Jones told Rob Phillips of the Cowboys' official fan club. "We've got a legitimate way to put the snaps on a running back at any of these second to the fifth round. We are not quite the perfect fit there (running back) because we don't have the special teams player. A lot of that also depends on some of the decisions we make with the veterans. But it is enough that we spent a lot of time talking about running backs."
While the Cowboys appear set at punt returner with Dez Bryant, they could use a kickoff returner -- they ranked just 23rd in that category last year and were one of nine teams without a 50-yard return.
