Sure, the 2017 NFL draft is still around the corner, but the regular season feels like it has crept a bit closer now that the preseason schedule has been released by the league.
And Cowboys fans, of course, won't have to wait as long as fans of other teams to see their players in action.
Dallas kicks the 2017 preseason off 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3 (NBC) in Canton, Ohio, where it will take on the Arizona Cardinals in the annual Hall of Fame Game.
That game is the first of five preseason contests for the Cowboys, who then play against the Rams in Los Angeles in Week 1 (Aug. 10-14); at home against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2 (Aug. 17-21); at home against the Oakland Raiders in Week 3 (Aug. 24-27); and at Houston in Week 4 (Aug. 31-Sept. 1).
Times for the Cowboys' games in Weeks 1-4 of the preseason are still to be determined.
