The really fucked up part is that shit isn't uncommon throughout the course of history. When you think about the fucked up things we as a species have done throughout time and what we still currently do it reminds me of what Carlin said regarding "what savage beasts we really are".

I seen how fast people can revert back to animal level during hurricane Katrina. A local man stabbed a lady to death for breaking in line and getting the last bag of ice. Within one day after the storm hit, people were going into survival mode.
