Cowher: No coaching wish list exists
By Mark J. Miller

Bill Cowher may be one of the most coveted coaches around the NFL right now. The current analyst for CBS has been rumored to have a wish list of teams that he'd like to coach, but the New York Post reports that the idea of such a thing puts Cowher's nerves on end.
"Let me say this, for anyone to insinuate that I have a wish list of coaches to be fired at this time of the year, I have too much respect for the profession," Cowher said, according to the Post.
Cowher's supposed list includes the New York Giants, Houston Texans and Miami Dolphins. When Cowher was coaching the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1992 to 2006, he compiled a 149-90-1 record, took home a few coach of the year awards, and won the Super Bowl in 2005.

Yada yada yada.

It's human nature. He has his own wish list in his mind.

Yeah, but are we on that list? I hope so.

I would bet no. I think he knows Jerry isn't the kind of guy he wants to work for.

Now if Jerry came to him and told him he could come to Dallas with full authority written into his contract, then I think we'd go up near the top of that list.

I don't think he sees Dallas as a possibility.

As much as I want Cowher, I know he'll take a team like Houston, New York or Carolina.
