Helped by a loud home crowd -- and pumped-in noise some maintain -- Minnesota mounted a fierce pass rush at the Metrodome last season.

The crowd noise forced opponents to use a silent count, which allowed Minnesota's pass-rushers to get a roaring start off the line. The Vikings had a league-high 25 sacks for eight regular-season games at home. They embarrassed the Dallas Cowboys with six sacks during a playoff win at the Metrodome.

Through the small sample of two home games, the Vikings have not had the same pass-rush this season. They have three sacks in two home games.

End Jared Allen has had a steep drop in production. A year ago, Allen had a league-high 9 1/2 sacks at home. He has one sack at home this season.
