As promised, three Dallas Cowboys' veterans met with young and troubled wide receiver Dez Bryant on Saturday.

According to a message from Bryant's Twitter account, he had a lunch meeting with quarterback Tony Romo, center Andre Gurode and inside linebacker Keith Brooking at an unknown location.

"Had a good time,'' Bryant said on his account.

Gurode and tight end Jason Witten have said in recent weeks that players would be reaching out to Bryant in an attempt to help him through current problems and put him on the right track. Bryant's off-season has included a run-in with security at NorthPark Center and having two lawsuits filed against him, alleging the non-payment of more than $850,000 in jewelry and sports tickets. He has settled one of the suits.

As a rookie last season, Bryant showed moment of dazzling skill but also frustrated the Cowboys with irresponsible acts such as repeated tardiness to meetings and a failure to grasp the entire playbook.

Also Chace Crawford, Romo's future brother-in-law, also attended the lunch. What purpose Crawford served at the meeting could not be determined.

lol they probably gang raped Chase Crawford afterwards.

Seriously though, good thing they got to him before Goodell. I heard the Commish was ready to drop the ban hammer on his ass.
