Even though quarterback Tony Romo has invited all the new draft picks to join the team for workouts at an undisclosed location, top pick Tyron Smith has yet to do so.

Smith is working out with his agent, former offensive lineman Joe Panos, in Milwaukee. Smith still plans on coming to Dallas for workouts.

Panso said Smith is working out and learning his playbook. Smith visited Valley Ranch the day after he was drafted and spent some time with offensive line coach Hudson Houck. The two were together for at least three hours at the complex going over the offense. Houck had Smith sitting in one of the classrooms going over blocking schemes and plays.

The NFL lockout is preventing players from having contact with teams. Things are so bad that team officials can't speak with agents about players.

"I feel like I have a lot to learn and any kind of help the veterans can give me, I’ll take it all in," Smith said the day after being taken No. 9 overall. "I’m here to learn and be coached and hopefully help them win Super Bowls, and I want to be there with the opportunity to help out."
