Cowboys to wear blue uniforms Sunday
October, 12, 2011

By Todd Archer
IRVING, Texas -- For the first time since Dec. 27, 2009 the Cowboys will wear their navy jersey for a road game Sunday against New England. And then they will put them away for the rest of the season.

The Cowboys beat Washington, 17-0, at FedEx Field in the last game they wore the navy uniforms. They have gone with their traditional white uniforms in road games at Minnesota (twice), Washington, Houston, Green Bay, New York Giants, Indianapolis, Arizona, Philadelphia, New York Jets and San Francisco since.

The last time the Cowboys visited New England in 2003, the Patriots wore a silver jersey.

I thought Washington might put the Cowboys in their blues this season with a Nov. 20 kickoff, but it won’t happen.

The Cowboys will be in their throwback jersey on Thanksgiving against Miami.
