IRVING, Texas -- Laurent Robinson has wasted little time in becoming a fixture in the Cowboys’ offense. In two games he has 10 catches for 165 yards and he became the seventh player on team history to have 100 yards through the air in his first start last week vs. Detroit.

So far he has made a pretty good impression.

“I’m just trying to execute when the play is called and make a play on the ball when it comes and not think about all that,” Robinson said. “Just playing football.”

Robinson joined the Cowboys a few days before the season opener and suffered a hamstring injury in his first practice. He was cut and brought back before the Week 3 game vs. Washington. Having spent training camp with San Diego, Robinson had a leg up in learning a Dallas offense that is similar to the Chargers’.

Coach Jason Garrett has taken notice.

“For someone who was not with us in training camp and on and off the roster he’s really stepped in and understand what to do and how to do it,” Garrett said. “I think the quarterbacks have a real comfort level throwing to him. He’s demonstrated the ability to run past defenses and make plays underneath. He’s only going to improve.”

With Miles Austin returning from a hamstring injury Oct. 16 at New England, Robinson will likely slide into the No. 3 receiver role behind Austin and Dez Bryant.

He's definitely a keeper. He's played at a Pro Bowl level here. I hope he gives us first rights after the season ends.

Hope he stays healthy cause he could wind up being a good player for us this year. Considering how quick he picked up the playbook I would give the #3 spot and not look back. Olgetree has 3 years and he can't figure out our playbook or line up right...

Just a wee bit. Robinson's been good, but two games with no Miles Austin to take away looks does not a Pro Bowler make.

Well you still have to be excited though for a WR trio of Austin, Bryant, and Robinson. Oh wait! We still have Romo.

I understand yours and other Cowboy fans feeling for Romo but I'm still supporting him ESPECIALLY after that Skin's jackoff Cooley attacked him. (Hell, even Skip Bayless and Cowterd still believe)

We are still in this thing and the loses by the Giants and Eagles had to lift the spirits of our team on their bye.

The one shining light and possibly our only salvation is that Romo is going to approach the rest of the season prepared and focused as all get out.

He usually does, and I don't see this year being any different as far as how Romo peforms from here on in.

I'll support him, but I'm still pissed. You right about that Cooley mess.
