MOBILE, Ala. -- The Cowboys signed wide receiver Titus Ryan to a two-year futures contract according to his agent Jasmon Warren.
Ryan was signed last year to the squad but injured his thumb in training camp and was released August 10.
The Cowboys liked Ryan's speed and his ability to return kicks. Ryan played with the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League in 2009.
But after he recovered from a broken thumb, Ryan elected not to play football, despite a offer to return to the CFL.
The Cowboys have several decisions to make at wide receiver.
Roy Williams has underachieved in his nearly three years on the team and could be released, which would be a $12.9 million cap hit.
Sam Hurd is expected to become an unrestricted free agent and he wants to play more at receiver than be a captain on special teams.
