The Cowboys have an interest in Cleveland secondary coach Jerome Henderson.
Tennessee, meanwhile, has an interest in Cowboys secondary coach Brett Maxie.
The Titans have asked the Cowboys for permission to interview Maxie, whose contract is about to expire. The Cowboys like Maxie and appear to have a role for him on the current staff if he doesn't want to leave. The question becomes if Maxie wants to split duties with Henderson the way he did with Dave Campo the last four seasons.
Maxie has a strong work ethic and has earned the respect of coaches and players at Valley Ranch. He's positioned himself to earn more responsibility, something he may not be able to do with the Cowboys if Henderson joins the staff as expected later this week.
