Marion Barber rarely speaks to the media. Wednesday was an exception. Here is some of what he had to say in his three minutes.
On if expectations for this team are too great _ "I'm not going to worry about that. I'm just going to worry about today.''
On confidence level in offensive line with starters Marc Colombo and Kyle Kosier hurt _ "It's always there, from day one. There are a couple of guys who are banged up, but we have guys who are going to fill in for them and we'll be allright.
"That's what happens in this game. You've got to believe in everyone who is out there and what the coaches put together. We've got guys who can fill in and are going to take care of their business too.''
What held back running game back in the preseason _ "You've got to holler at the big man about that.''
What think about the rotation of you, Felix Jones and Tashard Choice _ "We're all good, man. We come to work every day, just go hard in practice and that helps all of us.''
How is your health - "I'm all good, 100 percent.''
Frustrating last season with thigh injury _ "It can be, but you've got to be prepared and do whatever you've got to do during the season. Then in the offseason just work on some things, too.''
Did you do anything different with conditioning in offseason _ "You've got to. Every year you've got to get better.''
What was your motivation in losing weight _ "Just eating better and as you get older in the game, you realize, just taking care of your body is good.''
How much emotion does this team have for the opener _ "It's a lot, man. We've got a lot of guys who are ready for this year. Emotionally, we're going to be ready. We've got to take it a day at a time.''
How can the team improve in short yardage situations _ "Work hard in practice.
