TAMPA, Fla. - Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said that the team planned going into Saturday night's game at Tampa Bay to rest injured linebacker DeMarcus Ware and nose tackle Jay Ratliff as much as possible.
The Cowboys caught a break considering the game wasn't close.
Ware is dealing with a stinger he suffered two weeks ago at Arizona and aggravated the injury on the second play of the game Saturday.
Ware was in and out of the game Sunday night against the Giants.
"I'm not really worried about staying on the field," Ware said. "Sometimes you just need a little rest."
Ratliff is dealing with a rib muscle strain he suffered Sunday night in the loss to the Giants.
Neither player was in the game in the second half.
"We really had hoped we could, especially when we got up, we hoped we could give them some relief in there," Jones said. "I even hoped we could cut back on Felix [Jones] a little bit more than we did in the second half."
