Andrew Sendejo, promoted to the Dallas Cowboys' 53-man roster this week, made a strong impression on his coach while playing with Sacramento of the United Football League this season.
``He's a tremendous player,'' former NFL head coach Dennis Green told the Sacramento Bee newspaper. ``He really gets around. He's very active. From what we saw of him when we looked at him at Rice, he can make a lot of plays.
``He's a ball hawk. When the ball's out there, he always seems to be one of those guys who comes up with it, either an interception or a fumble recovery or some timely tackles.''
Sendejo played at both safety spots and finished second in the UFL for tackles with 48, one fewer than Las Vegas linebacker Teddy Lehman, of Oklahoma. Sendejo also had two interceptions.
