Dez Bryant was one of the few bright spots in Monday night's 41-35 loss to the New York Giants, catching a pair of 15-yard touchdown passes and returning a punt 93 yards for another score.

With that in mind, the Cowboys are looking at possibly having Bryant also return kicks.

According to ESPNDallas.com, Bryant fielded kickoffs at practice on Thursday along with with Akwasi Owusu-Ansah and Felix Jones.

"We could put him back there some," Wade Phillips said Wednesday. "He's a guy that can make big plays, and you always have to think about that."

I'm all for it . . .

The guy is electric with the ball in his hands.

Besides, what have we got to lose?

So let Dez return kickoffs, we have Sam Hurd to pick up the slack at WR?

How many times this year has our KR or any in the NFL got hurt?

Not enough to even consider it a possibility... Come on...

Well if they want to do it for no reason then fine. It's not like it will save the season.

Thats what I meant, its not season saving...

Gives Bryant 1 more chance with the ball in his hands-Kid is explosive

It's not even worth it. Let's give someone else a try and see if he can be a returner for next year. The rest of the season needs to be about auditioning new guys.

Probably won't be though...

Yeah let's get him hurt F'ing idiots.

People always say this when the idea of having starters return kicks . . . but punt and kick returners don't get injured very often in the NFL.

Should we stop sending our receivers over the middle?

It's just another way of putting the ball in the hands of your best players.

I'm against it simply because I think it will limit him on offense. The coaches won't want to over expose him. If they give him touches in the kick return game, he'll probably have to sacrifice some snaps on offense. It's just the way this coaching staff operates.

And, no.....Sam F'n Hurd isn't picking up the slack. I'd sooner run one receiver sets than put that waste of space on the field at WR.

Way to go there Capt Obvious, nothing gets by you slim.

Bryant should be on the field 80% of the time. Find a place for him, he is a plymkr. ehehee. Like that? Plymkr, ahhahaha.

And Bryant wouldn't be tired. He hasn't played football for a year and a half. he is rested.
