Cowboys' Kyle Kosier says he will not play Monday vs. Giants

Kyle Kosier will not play Monday against the New York Giants , but he said he will be back for the Oct. 31 game against Jacksonville at Cowboys Stadium.
Kosier suffered a strained right Achilles on the last drive of the first half of the Minnesota game and he said he is also battling an ankle sprain too.
Montrae Holland will start his second game of the season due to an injury absence for Kosier. Holland also started the season opener at Washington because a sprained right knee Kosier suffered in training camp.
"He's a veteran player who's got a history of having success in the past as a starter and a backup who's come in," assistant head coach Jason Garrett said. "He's certainly done that for our team this year already, so we like him. We like how he plays. He prepares well. He's gone in the game and he's done well."
