David Moore / Reporter
Chris Gronkowski was a longshot to make the Cowboys roster as an undrafted free agent.
Now, two weeks into the season, the club releases the player in front of him on the depth chart. Waiving Deon Anderson leaves Gronkowski as the only fullback on the roster.
"It's kinda a payoff for hard work,'' Gronkowski said. "It's not like they cleared the way. They can always bring someone in at any time. You've always got to be on top of your game, ready for everything. I've just got to keep working.''
It's safe to say that Gronkowski does not feel like he's arrived.
"Absolutely not,'' he said. "I'm still fighting every day. I've got to keep working to get better."
"There are still a lot of things I've got to work on.''
