Since entering the league in 2005, DeMarcus Ware has accumulated more sacks than any current player in the NFL while emerging as one of the most feared pass rushers.

Since entering the league in 2005, DeMarcus Ware has accumulated more sacks than any current player in the NFL while emerging as one of the most feared pass rushers.
So, it's no surprise that the understated Ware was rated the top outside linebacker in the game by a USA Today panel, which acknowledged that the Cowboys' star defensive player doesn't receive as much recognition as he deserves:
- "DeMarcus Ware is quietly the best," NFL Network and CBS analyst Solomon Wilcots says.
"The Cowboys haven't won as much lately, and he's fallen under some people's radar. ... So when people think about who's the best, they (NFL observers) often miss him."
That's a mistake blockers don't make figuratively even if they literally can't handle Ware very often.
"Ask offensive linemen around the league, they'll tell you Ware is the game's most complete, all-around outside linebacker," Wilcots says. "He's as good a defensive player as anyone and fundamentally sound against the run more so than just a pass rusher."
Ware figures to be turned loose by new Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan.
"I've watched Rob Ryan design game plans to get lesser guys to the quarterback last season in Cleveland," Wilcots says. "Rob will build that Cowboys defense around Ware."
