IRVING, Texas -- Cowboys Stadium is a beautiful building. At $1.2 billion many consider it the best athletic facility in the world.

It might be too nice because it’s just not that difficult of a place for opponents. Despite Justin Tuck calling the place "crappy," I wonder if that because it is so new and pretty, that fans just don’t want to get too rowdy and sully the joint.

The Cowboys are 14-9 at home in its two-plus years, including playoffs. The Cowboys are 5-1 at home this year, but the wins have come against Washington, St. Louis, Seattle, Buffalo and Miami. Hardly a Murderer’s Row. The loss was against Detroit.

For all of the people the stadium can fit, it just doesn’t get that loud. It’s loud, but not so loud that other teams have trouble operating offensively. Teams have committed nine false-start penalties in six games this year and four came against the Dolphins (three on left tackle Jake Long).

This Sunday, the Cowboys are asking you to bring some noise when they play the New York Giants in Arlington.

“We need them to be loud and take ownership of homefield and what that means,” tight end Jason Witten said. “I think we have some of the best fans out there, but we need them this week.”

Said DeMarcus Ware, “It should be the loudest stadium so we have that 12th man. When our stadium gets loud, you can’t hear anything. We need that 12th man.”

Why should they ask to bring noise? You're the fans, that's what you're supposed to do at a home game. lol

Not our fans though.

In b4 "our fans are terrible and never make noise. wine and cheese crowd"

We are pretty quiet...maybe it is the acoustics or whatever, but I am jealous of a team like Seattle, who always has loud crowd noise.

Never been to the new stadium but 5-6 times at old Texas Stadium.

Everytime except for an exception of maybe one game you almost needed flashcards for people to know when to make noise or get into the game.

If I can hear Al and Chris over the fans, then they aren't loud enough.

They need to be louder. It does help. Isn't that why they call it home field advantage?

lol, I don't think there are many instances in any stadium where you won't be able to hear Al and Chris on your tv.

If you can hear Al and Chris in the stadium, that's a big problem.

The crowd is going to be. Great sunday night.

No doubt about it.

Anyone who thinks different has never been to a game here, never been to a division game here or maybe a snf game.

It's the two scenarios that bring out the best crowds here, sunday night football and the giants.

And it's nice to play a snf game at home for a change. All these recent tough losses on snf have been on the road, Washington, gb, jets and eagles. The only home game was the eagles last year. We almost pulled that one out even though we were outmatched.

I am confident sunday is going to be a great night.

that has nothing to do with the crowd noise fwiw.

on the radio broadcasts you can get a more accurate idea of the crowd, but even they dial the sound back on the crowd.
