We spent the off-season attempting to figure out the 53-man roster with some hits and misses. Now we bring you the gameday roster prediction for Sunday's game at Washington.

Some of it is pretty easy, just as in the 53-man roster, but then you get down to the final spot or two and there is some head scratching. And we're making some assumptions here, too, like Kyle Kosier not being able to play and Marc Colombo returning.

With that said, here we go:

QB (2) - Tony Romo , Jon Kitna

No brainer here. Stephen McGee is the inactive QB.

RB (4) - Marion Barber, Felix Jones , Tashard Choice, Chris Gronkowski

Deon Anderson could make it still, especially against a tough run defense like Washington's, but there has to be some more versatility than just six or seven plays. You'll see what I mean later.

TE (2) - Jason Witten, Martellus Bennett

Pretty self explanatory here.

WR (5) - Miles Austin, Roy Williams, Dez Bryant , Sam Hurd, Kevin Ogletree

Hurd is your best special teams player. Ogletree can cover kicks and possibly serve as a gunner. Plus he can have a small package in the offense.

OL (7) - Doug Free, Montrae Holland, Andre Gurode , Leonard Davis, Marc Colombo, Alex Barron, Phil Costa

With Kosier out, Holland starts. When Kosier returns, is it still a lock that Holland is active or do you go with Costa as the backup center and make Gurode the swing guy at guard? Just a thought.

DL (6) - Marcus Spears , Jay Ratliff , Igor Olshansky, Stephen Bowen , Jason Hatcher, Josh Brent

Pretty easy here, too. Brent is the backup nose tackle. Spears might be limited early after missing the preseason games with a knee injury.

LB (8) - Anthony Spencer, Bradie James , Keith Brooking, DeMarcus Ware , Victor Butler, Sean Lee, Brandon Williams, Jason Williams

Leon Williams sits this week just out of numbers, although some of it will be predicated on what they do at defensive back.

DB (8) - Terence Newman , Mike Jenkins, Gerald Sensabaugh , Alan Ball , Orlando Scandrick, Danny McCray, Mike Hamlin, Akwasi Owusu-Ansah

Here's the tricky part, especially if they go with two fullbacks being active. If Anderson is dressed, then Owusu-Ansah or Hamlin are out. Both do more on special teams than Anderson and Hamlin is the backup at both safety spots. Owusu-Ansah could be a return guy, too.

Specialist (3) - Mat McBriar, David Buehler, L.P. Ladouceur

No surprise here.

So it looks like the final few spots will come down to Anderson, Owusu-Ansah, Hamlin and maybe Leon Williams. I didn't go with Anderson so I could get the extra defensive back on the field.

AOA kinda has to be active. They can't take a chance on an injury at CB.

I think McCray can step in and play safety in a pinch, seriously.

If an injury occurred in the corner position.

Because I think Ball would be our first choice at corner.
