From 1 to 10, what is your confidence level that he will pan out in the pros?

He's raw, and I remind you that Hudson Houck is in charge of his initial development.

Probably an 8 or 9. Early pick Tackles rarely "bust" and are usually safe picks.

Mayock says he sees "all pro written all over him". Would obviously love it if that happened. If he turns into a perennial probowler we nailed it.

Not an exciting pick for us fans, but a solid one none the less.

If the guy has some ability he could be a fixture on the offensive line for 15 seasons.

I never understood why an OL pick isn't supposed to be exciting to fans.

How about not exciting to fans who don't understand the game? That would be more accurate.

9, only because of the rawness factor. I think he will live up to his potential and become what some have already said, an All Pro and perennal Pro Bowler. I love this pick as I am sure Romo does too. Now if we can get our guard (Rackley or Cannon).

9.

My only concern is that he has to put up with Houck coaching him for a year or so.

What do you mean by 'pan out'?

D'Brickashaw Ferguson has had two Pro Bowl selections, zero All-Pro selections in four years. Is this panning out?

10-I like the pick better today than I did last night.Smith has a chance to be very good, maybe even great.

I may change my mind again though,on Oct 2nd when Suh and Fairley have a contest to see if they can actually hit the scoreboard with Kosier's body.

Even though his new body was thoroughly checked out by Garrett in person, I would still say its a wrinkle.

Also, I think he could use some coaching points and Houck is old, his players are dumb, and he is on his way out.
