What is his motivation not to re-structure? Ego?

Whatever. Thanks for your contributions. Incredible comeback story, and hell of an effort on your behalf. Thanks for chucking Hall a few years ago.

Not sure why he wouldnt, although I suspect he thinks he can compete for the starting job, and he obviously isnt going to have that chance here unless somebody gets hurt.

Loved the attitude and effort he had while here, but he's done and he's been done since he broke the leg mid way through 2009.

I'll be surprised if anyone signs him soon.

Yep. He did a good job for us when he first came here, but it's time for him to go.

If anyone knows Colombo he doesn't back down from a fight, which happened in the negotiations as well. Oh well, didn't want him back anyways.

Agreed. I'm gonna miss Colombo's mean streak on the field. Hopefully we can get a guy in here that can replace that.

Maybe he's thinking about retiring. I can't imagine him making more money elswhere if every other team has tape on him.

Loved his attitude, intensity and leadership, but he's been done for awhile now...good run while it lasted and he was a good signing by Parcells

Like others have said, nice comeback story. Dreadful over the last 2 or so seasons.

Happy it's over.

He served his purpose. Salvaged his career off the scrap heap and turned into a good / steady player for a few years. As Sheik said his play eroded noticeably the last 2 years. Loved his mean streak but it was time to get younger and bring more athleticism to the position.

Agreed. I'm glad we offered him a pay cut instead of cutting him outright, but it was time to move on. We haven't had a player since Irvin show so much intensity and leadership.
