I just finished watching that St. Louis game again and what a liability Claiborne really is. Trading this fuck, or outright cutting him has GOT to be a priority this offseason - although it's probably not, Carrot Top loves him.

He gets burned for three TDs in the game, and gets smoked for multiple receptions. He is just a DUMB PLAYER. So yeah, he makes a game ending pick but the whole reason they are going to his side in crunch time in the first place is, it paid off the entire game.

And it's not like he made some special play - had the QB delivered the ball on target the receiver had all the room in the world to just run away from him - Claiborne was way out of position and the QB just shit the bed, threw it way over the receiver's head.

I almost threw up after, when Garrett was hugging him, spanking him on the butt and telling him how great he is.

It's no coincidence this defense got better when Claiborne's season ended. That injury was far and away the best break this team got all season.

/rant.

Yep. Quite possibly this franchise's biggest bust pick ever.
Counts 2.6 million against the fucking cap this season whether he is on the roster or not.

Hopefully he shows the same dedication and studiousness for his knee rehab that he shows on the football field, and will never recover from that patella tendon surgery. Jerruh can save at least a little bit of face that way. Otherwise, I think he plays even though he was demoted right before his injury. "Second chances" and all ya know.

Just fucking admit he is a BUST and cut his ass.

There's a thread here about our worst draft ever. I submit the 2012 draft has to be right up there with it.

Round 1 Pick 6 Morris Claiborne
Round 3 Pick 81 Tyrone Crawford
Round 4 Pick 113 Kyle Wilber
Round 4 Pick 135 Matt Johnson
Round 5 Pick 152 Danny Coale
Round 6 Pick 186 James Hanna
Round 7 Pick 222 Caleb McSurdy

Except Crawford might be our best DL and Wilbur is a solid rotatation guy and Hanna is talented but under used.

Need to try Claiborne as a kickoff returner next year. He did a good job of it at LSU. It is time that he did a good job at something / anything with the Cowboys.

Hanna who is quite possibly the second fastest TE in the league is relegated to pass blocking because the coach refuses to adapt the offense to the skills of the players.

First of all it's not saying much when saying Crawfish is our best DL. You know that though. Yeah the only real reason this draft might be "bad" other than Claiborne, is the under-use of Hard Hearted Hanna. It doesn't compare to the Joey one, I stand corrected. Both drafts though, pissed away the first pick.

The frustrating thing about Claiborne is that every now and then he will make a play that shows that the talent is there. He makes it, I say "oh I get it", then wait 4,567 snaps before he does it again. Guy is just dumb. Agree, biggest bust in franchise history.

Might be why I don't remember him ever making such a play. The St. Louis one clearly, wasn't one of those.

I don't even think he shows much talent. He has good ball skills, but that's about it. But he's not particularly big or athletic, isn't a good tackler, and is weak mentally.

He seems to go out of his way to avoid contact, alot like Deion used to do.

With Deion, you could accept it.

Round 1 Pick 6 Morris Claiborne
GM Jerry at his worst. Traded two high picks to get him after spending a ton on another CB. Never met with or spoke with him. Just reckless decision-making. Jerry claiming highest grade since Deion and higher than Patrick Peterson makes him look more foolish than normal.

Round 3 Pick 81 Tyrone Crawford
Curious pick for a 3-4 defense. Luckily, team switched back to 4-3 and Crawford has developed into very good 3-Tech.

Round 4 Pick 113 Kyle Wilber
Opposite of Crawford, belongs in a 3-4 defense. Still think should try him as third down DE. I think he tries hard, just doesn't have skills to play 4-3 LB.

Round 4 Pick 135 Matt Johnson
Disastrous pick. Injured college player is injured, shocker. Oh my God he practices so great!

Round 5 Pick 152 Danny Coale
Kind of guy you find in UDFA, except UDFA guys are better.

Round 6 Pick 186 James Hanna
Steal in the 6th round. Offense needs to utilize his speed more.

Round 7 Pick 222 Caleb McSurdy
Throw away pick. Wish team took a chance on Vontaze Burfict here. If you're going to gamble, gamble on talent.
