Cheer up, Cowboys fans: The Alex Barron era may be over
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on September 14, 2010 12:43 PM ET

Relief is coming for the beleaguered Cowboys offensive line.

ESPN's Matt Mosley wrote Tuesday morning he's getting "strong indications" starting guard Kyle Kosier and right tackle Marc Colombo will return to the lineup this week.

That means sports radio pinata Alex Barron will likely be holding a spot on the bench for a while. At least the Cowboys hope so. Colombo has a long history of injuries, and we hope the team doesn't rush him back to the field because they are desperate. The team doesn't appear likely to release Barron.

The Cowboys have been installed as 8.5 point favorites against the Bears. So they'll probably have to score more than seven points this week to cover.

They rushed back Columbo against the Vikings, while Free was playing well, and that was a disaster. I hope they don't do this again.

I wonder how many were missing Flo after the debacle by Barron? Think about it, Flo at LT and Free at RT, like parts of last season. Think the Cowboys beat the Deadskins?

I do.

Not that it matters, but, I do.

Even after Barron, I'm not missing Adams. If we fucking take the kneel down like any other team with a brain or a brain cell, we win that game regardless of Barron.

And Colombo wasn't rushed back for the Vikings' game, he p,layed a week earlier in the wildcard playoffs. Fact is, Colombo would have ended up playing anyway, because Adams got hurt, and so Free still would have beena t LT,and Colombo at RT.

Whooops, sorry about that, brain fart here. My apologies.

I still think they rushed him back. Not that it would of made a difference in the Vikings game. I just hope they don't look at the Barron situation and rush him back.

And yes, while I like Free, I do miss Flozell, but, only started too after the Barron hold and the loss. LOL
