Chargers SS Bob Sanders' season already over

Chargers placed SS Bob Sanders (knee) on injured reserve, ending his season.
"It didn’t work out for him or us, and we wish him the very best," said GM A.J. Smith. Sanders, 30, made just two appearances in his short-lived stint with San Diego. Signed to a one-year contract in the offseason, Sanders is an impending free agent and may begin considering retirement.
